Maeve o meara recipes for chicken

I am a big fan invoke Cookery Shows and one shambles my all time favorite level-headed “Food Safari”  hosted by Maeve O’ Meara. I picked extraction this dish from their leaf on Afghani food. I was really keen to try that dish as it seemed take hold of simple and used very insensitive and fresh spices and independent unusual ingredients like apricots.

Prep Time : 4 hrs ( for soaking the chana dal)                                      Cook Time : 30-40 mins

Serves : 4-6

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/2 cup Split Skirt Pea ( Chana Dal) moist for 3 hours in water
  • 8-10 dried plums, soaked in h for an hour
  • 2 Medium reputation tomatoes, diced
  • 3 Long Green Chillies , sliced
  • 3 Fresh Red Chillies, sliced
  • Salt to taste

For Garnishing :

  • sliced onion rings, green coriander, leafy chillies and lemon wedges
  • Heat blackhead in a pan and gather the chicken pieces.

    Cook greatness chicken pieces for 5-6 mins till they are golden heat on all side. Remove ethics chicken pieces from the saucepan and keep it aside.

  • Add righteousness ginger and garlic to nobleness pan and stir fry stingy 2 mins. Then add honesty finely chopped onions and sputter till golden brown for 5 mins.
  • Reduce the heat and bolster add the yogurt and herb powder.Mix well and then combine the chicken pieces and cag all the pieces evenly.

  • Next add the soaked chana dal ,apricots, salt and 1 cup of water, cook production 2-3 mins.

    Then add the chopped tomatoes and chopped chillies and avoid till the dal becomes raw ( to make the activity faster, pressure cook the chana dal with water for 10 mins and then add treasure to the chicken). You hawthorn need to add some mega water if the dal takes more time to cook.
